Brendan Kennedy
Managing Director, Strategic Execution
Brendan Kennedy is a managing director with SVB Analytics and eProsper, responsible for strategic execution. SVB Analytics provides solutions to analytical problems that are specific to emerging growth technology, life science, and venture capital companies. In that regard, SVB Analytics is rendering valuation opinions for clients to help them comply with IRC 409A, FAS 123R, FAS 141, and delivering capitalization and options management solutions through the firm's controlling stake in eProsper, Inc.
In 2006, Kennedy joined SVB Analytics’ founding team. He was responsible for executing over three hundred fifty client valuation assignments and issuing valuation opinions for private companies. Kennedy brings a strong background in entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on technology companies, to his role at SVB Analytics.
Prior to joining SVB Analytics, Kennedy founded Mindability Inc., an online usability and experience measurement company. As CEO, he grew the company to thirty employees before its acquisition by an international customer satisfaction and loyalty-marketing firm. Prior to Mindability, Kennedy founded Torsionsoft Inc., a custom software development firm that created project management and voice-integrated applications for the Boeing Commercial Aircraft Group.
For entrepreneurs, Kennedy has created business plans, shaped business strategy, and pitched companies to potential investors. For investors, he has performed venture capital due diligence, competitive analyses, and startup valuations.
In 2005, Kennedy won the Yale University Entrepreneurship Society Y50K competition with a business plan based on the design of a health care information management system. At Sellen Construction Company, Kennedy designed project management and communication software systems in Microsoft VB, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, and Exchange.
Kennedy earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management, a master's degree in engineering from the University of Washington, and a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
